Getting Rid of Unwanted Junk: What’s Next?

Everyday, thousands of people are throwing stuff away. Some set it to the road for garbage pickup. If their unused “trash” is still in pretty good condition, it can then become someone else’s “treasure” on the side of the road. But what about unwanted appliances? Or furniture? Give it away: This is always an option. Just put it to the curb, slap a “FREE” sign on it and watch it disappear like magic! There is something about seeing a “curb alert” sign and for some people, it is like Christmas. Your trash = their treasure! This version of junk pickup rids you of unwanted trash and they get something “new” and free--win-win!

Recycle: If you are getting rid of things that can be recycled and reused, please utilize this resource! So much recyclable "junk" is sitting in landfills when it can be repurposed and reused again to create something new. Take the time to learn how to recycle, who to call for pickup and teach your children how important it is to recycle, and especially how good it is for the environment as well.

Call for help: Sometimes, there is just too much junk to deal with or you just don’t have the time to deal with it yourself. Then it’s time to call in the professionals! Find a local business that can come in and help you get rid of your unwanted junk. They will take care of the mess for you and haul it off as well. Utilize the businesses that specialize in this kind of thing and let them do what they do best--clean up your junk and haul it off! Although some junk haulers may take your stuff directly to the dump, there are some that are eco-friendly (like us!), and will take your junk to the recycling center or donate it to charities to keep it out of the landfills. And though trash and junk removal services do charge a fee for using their services, in the long run, when you consider how much time, energy, money and stress you are saving for yourself, it’s definitely worth the phone call to get some help.
